Hindi is the most widely spoken language of India, and is the primary official language of the Republic of India. According to the number of native speakers, Hindi is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. It is difficult to estimate how many Indians speak Hindi as their native or secondary language.

VISION

• To develop excellent proficiency in the Hindi language.
• The vision of Hindi Department is to impart knowledge of the national language, Hindi, its various forms of literature and functional aspects to the non-Hindi students and develop their proficiency in this language.

MISSION

• To develop the ability to use the language effectively for the purpose of practical communication and to make them think and express ideas, sentiments in the language.
• To improve their reading and writing skill.
• To enhance their ability to communicate effectively and acquire the pronunciation of native speaker by means of spoken Hindi.
• To strengthen student’s ability to analyse, interpret and evaluate all forms of literary expression.
