The Department of Political Science, S.M.Dev College, Lakhipur, Cachar, came into existence with the establishment of College in 1995 since its inception the department has progressive tried to realize all aims of Higher Education in political Science.

The Department of Political Science seeks to provide current knowledge about the different Governmental systems and generate new knowledge. And attempt to prepare them an active and responsible citizen. The department is committed to produce students who are trained in Political Science.
